2 sheets of 6 inch scrapbook paper Recollections Midnight Magic Halloweeen
2 sheets of black card stock
Stamps from Michael's dollar bin
By craft smart:
Witch against the moon
Bats and stars
Cobweb with spider
Happy Halloween cauldron
Silver gel pen
Watercolor markers or colored pencils
1st Sheet of 6 inch paper:
Stamp with witch against moon and flying bats with stars. Stamp "Happy Halloween" on bottom right within the paper design border. Use a fine tip black marker to fill in witch, broom, bats, and pumpkin in Halloween and to outline all of the stamps used in the project.
Color the moon with a yellow watercolor marker or colored pencil. Fill in stars with the silver gel pen.
Stamp the backside of the paper with cobwebs and spiders on all four corners. Fill in spiders with fine tip black marker. I added a red dot on them with a marker but it didn't show up much:(
2nd Sheet of 6 inch paper:
Stamp with the cauldron that says Happy Halloween and fill in with the black fine tip marker and accent bubbles with silver gel pen. I left the back of the paper as it was because I liked the pattern.
3. Take 2 8x11 1/2 inch pieces of black card stock and score the first at 3 inches and fold along score lines and burnish well. Fold the second one in half to make a card. I cut that piece along the fold line. Then glued it over the 3 inch side of the first piece to form my card.
4. Put you 6 inch paper in the middle of the front of the card. I just eyeballed the front of the card and messed up to cut out a frame for the 6 inch piece so you could see both sides. To try and fix my "uh oh" I cut 4 one inch strips and outlined the cutout so the 6 inch piece could lay on top of it. I took the silver gel pen and made slash marks around the one inch "frame". Then glued the witch against the moon side down on top of that. Now I could see both sides of my 6 inch paper. Then I had to make another frame for the inside front to cover up the boo boo on that side!
5. For the right inside of the card I measured my opening and even though it isn't exactly straight ( I have lost my craft knife...sob!) it worked without adding anything so I took it! I glued the 2nd 6 inch piece with the cauldron on it down on the card stock. Now I had a frame that showed both sides of that paper.
6. That took it home. Happy crafting and Happy Halloween!
