Started off with Poe ending with this awesome image and sentiment (from Trick or Treat image set) from the marvelous Ike that I won from the challenge "Think PInk"! My badge shows up here in the create section but doesn't publish...gotta get one of those smart kids to fix it for me but it is there...I Won It at Ike's World Challenges...again pretend please. Well, it is here...so many mixed emotions! This has been so fun and so inspiring I can hardly believe it. To each of you who commented so faithfully, much love and appreciation! This is one of the hardest months of the year for me; this is the first time in 10 years that I have not been basically sitting on the couch or in my bed in an almost zoned out of everything feeling. Knowing I was committed to presenting a project everyday kept me out of that state of limbo this month. For that I am so grateful to the members of Smeared and Smudged! I must applaud Terra for all her hard work and each of you for the work you put into this hop to make it so amazing!

Sleepy Hollow Page Day 30 for 31 Days of Halloween and Oh, The Horror Challenge October 201410/30/2014 No, it isn't my photography this time..at least not all of it! This is my version of the movie "Sleepy Hollow". The sentiment and witch stamp are distorted due to the background ( a recycled box insert with a blue sky ) was very, very slick! I was going to start over and thought the more that I looked at it that it was fitting so I even restamped the sentiment so it is red with black over it. The ghost and pumpkin I tried for fierce but maybe missed the boat on that but they are ceramic pieces from my mom's former shop. The headless horseman is a purple skelly with a red cape made of polymer clay and embellished with some glitter glue and chalk. The horse ....yes he is made of polymer clay from a faux my little pony mold I made....I know grounds to throw me out and disqualify me but I am honest at least?..The little bats on the wire were chewed off a lovely mummy figure that I bought this month by one of my grandpups. But at least I saved him and the bats...lost an eye though..sigh! Layered some burlap, deco mesh, and corrugated cardstock to make the bridge and there he is! Come on, just pretend he is scary! Tomorrow will be a yard sale of all the projects that I have left but decided to replace during the month and maybe some decorations? Off you go to Susan and remember to pretend like I scared you silly!
Happy Crafting and see ya for the grand finale tomorrow!! I will also be posting this for Oh, The Horror Challenge- October 2014 at Smeared and Smudged. I never could get the hang of these but this is my slightly distorted version. Again with the black and white....sorry! Out to buy new paper tomorrow..promise...I think. The tags are each stamped front and back and black and white baker's twine is tied on each one. The mini envelope on the front fits a small paper and on a couple pages I put a border to hold tags or photos. The front has a stamped tag with eyelash fringe on the binding and the flower is once again handmade highlighted with silver with a pearl bead stamped black. Simple and used same old stamps! Hope you are enjoying hopping as much as I am! So many wonderful creations to be scene! Happy Crafting and see you tomorrow!!
The other day someone asked were polka dots Halloweeny of course I can't remember who! But it looked so awesome that I wanted to use them on something and so for this makes my second use of them and I am loving them! The digi image I cannot remember where she came from...again no memory..but I framed a brown piece of cardstock and inked the brown with blue and purple for a night sky and the full moon is markers and inks blended together and cut it out and glued to sky. The ground is two pieces of watercolor paper inked and cut to make hill, layered, and glued on the bottom of the brown within the frame lines. Next the lovely dots make the frame and the vampire trick or treater is colored with colored pencils, watercolor markers, stickles, and dimensional magic. The same for the pumpkin. Both are put on foam dots to pot her wings out of the frame. Some bats in the sky and walah!
Happy Crafting and see you tomorrow! The background for this mixed media canvas of my colored image from "The Paper Shelter" and the digital mix with a photo from our trip to Japan is once again a collaboration of my daughter and mine. When I saw and learned about the digital aspect of creating, I knew I wanted to use some of my photos from Japan. There were some heavenly outdoor areas that just screamed to have these images imported on them. I am especially proud of today's project as the image seemed so right for the photo. Many thanks to my talented daughter for all her help and my wonderful son for surprising me with a really nice print for me to frame! So this is our "family" post today...yeah!:) I am posting several different pics with and without flash and close of rose (plastic spray painted black and glittered) and sentiment and potion bottles stamped onto purple cardstock with a Tim Holtz stamp pad and a tiny pink one for the bottles as my potion bottle in the water fountain is pink:) Happy Crafting and see you tomorrow!! This is a really simple one....I needed the break after my anxiety over yesterday's post (even with Leigh's patient calming down emails..yes I still had anxiety, lol). This is a 2 x 3 inch mini actual mini canvas with a black frame from Michael's fab dollar bin! The skull is my own digi colored and cut out and glued on the canvas that had been stamped with part of the spiderweb stamp (same one from yesterday's pendant, same use of only part) and a flower with hello stamped in the bottom corner colored with pencils. The skully is colored with both markers and pencils and dimensional magic over the whole skull but it didn't show up well on the picture. The frame was stamped with silver ink again using part of the same stamp. A bit of black and white baker's twine for a hanger and it is done!!
Thanks for all the kind comments on my DominoArt project and throughout the hop! I appreciate you visiting each day and commenting! Now off to see Susan's fabulosity for today! Happy Crafting and see you tomorrow! Just a quick note. I entered a box canvas at Ike's World Challenge #24 "Think Pink" so I am adding a small photo on this post if you would like to read about it and the back story which most of you already know it is listed as "Entry to Ike's World Challenge #24". No gremlins this time! Or rather one named Nanette:) It's right under my DominoArt project...promise!!
Abner the skeleton has been waiting for the Haunted Circus so long his ticket is showing some wear!! He is soooo excited he can't keep his bones in line! Just so he wouldn't forget he made a list of his top 3 rides/events at the circus/fair.....they are in order: 1. Haunted House 2. Haunted House 3. Haunted house. I think he secretly likes the Haunted House myself! He is all grins as he waits in line...just hope he doesn't wear all the ink off of his ticket before he get to the gate! His ticket is a plastic domino stamped with a ticket from my stash and then colored orange with a watercolor marker. I didn't gloss it or anything because I was going for a ticket that had been held like in a child's hand and sorta worn. Polymer clay Abner courtesy of a tutorial by Candice Jedrowicz ( you are still my muse!) and some fun colors and embellies that I had in the stash box. The Haunted Circus sign is also stamped with an alphabet set from the Michael's dollar bin.
This is my first post for DominoArt and I am hoping not to disappoint Leigh desperately so I am entering two pendants today in the 31 Days of Halloween 6 hosted by Smeared and Smudged. Hop over to my blog today to get a peek at them! I really only knew about 2 domino art forms the pendants and the domino books. Wow, how little I knew!! Hope it all doesn't look too newbie:) but pretty sure it does! lol I have my first ever post on DominoArt today! I am soooo excited that I decided to spread the domino love to my 31 Days! These are two 2x1 inch plastic dominoes based with alcohol inks and stamped with parts of these 2 stamps from my as you know limited supply:) The bails are handmade from a bright orange wire. I glossed over the stamped images with...what else? ....Dimensional Magic! Really simple again! Hope you check out my project on DominoArt; I had a blast with it!
Happy Crafting and see you tomorrow!! Last one I promise for sure!! This was an experiment gone wrong...a mistake...that I found laying around. So of course with all my extensive planning all falling apart and running out of projects ready, I decided to give it a go again by adding a polymer clay skelly and roses and my rag muffin stash of stamps and went to work! These little pockets do hold little journal pages and could hold some tiny lovelies. This is a sneak peek of what I will be showing over at DominoArt tomorrow!! Oh my gosh, it is here and I am sooooo nervous! I am so not sure I did what I needed to do for it to post over there right so please give Leigh a break and hunt me down! I will be here with the post if it doesn't link up over at DominoArt. Keep your fingers crossed for me!
Now go see Susan while I have an attack of nerves....shaky knees....Happy Crafting and see you (gulp!) tomorrow!! |
