Day 2 of Smeared and Smudged's Bloody Valentine Blog Hop

Leigh, I promise I am not copying your project...well I am but not planned!:)  I had this little room freshener thingy that originally came with these little square papers infused with fragrance that when pushed down on the little box it would light up and the aroma would be released.  Long story...sorry..and anyway I had the bright idea to stamp my own paper square for the hop.  I saw Leigh's fab one yesterday and thought I would not do mine for the hop but as usual I am running late and very tired so....alas I must use it now.  The key point is mine is nowhere near as fabulous as Leigh's!!  Also, this is not colored not because I am tired...honest! but because I stamped it in red distress ink and really like the look when it is lit in the dark!  The stamps are from Smeared Ink's Gargoyle set from last month (I think) and stamped on parchment paper.  Due to bad photography..surprise!! I am only showing 2 sides but I stamped all 4 sides.  Thanks for the comments today...lovely, lovely!
Happy crafting and go leave Jane some more love!

Hey, great minds! It happens. Your project is beautiful, as well. You made the right choice not to color. the red looks great, especially lit. xxD

Way cool, I love luminaries, I always say I am going to make one but still haven't. I even bought the Tim Holtz bigz die to make one and still haven't. Thank you for the inspiration!!
See you tomorrow!
Peace,

I am running late and have not yet seen Leigh's but I don't believe yours is anything to apologize for.
Wicked good project and really does look fantastic lit up.

Fab project Nan, you have absolutely nothing to apologise for. It looks amazing with the light shining through. Is the light actually orange or is that some hidden aspect of the paper that doesn't show up until it's backlit? Either way, it looks wonderful!

Thanks so much, Susan! The light globe is actually white but the light does come out with an orangeish glow. I forgot to take a photo of the actual light box...it is really cool in itself and they don't make the refills for it anymore so I make my own and add a few drops of frangrance oil to the paper. Works pretty much the same of course I wouldn't do that with the parchment paper!

Nan, you sweet and silly lady, it's the best compliment you can pay an artist by being inspired by another and I totally believe you that you had the idea too, luminaries are awesome and made by many ;0) Now gimme, I need that base LOL ;0)

My precious grandpuppy, Yoshi! He went through gastrointestinal surgery for an obstruction in August and almost didn't make it. It is now November and he is doing so well just can't eat hard food:( But I love mushing his food twice a day and feeding my beautiful baby boy:)
