January Smeared and Smudged Member Hop "Dead of Winter"

Right about now, my headache is a wonderful representation of the dead of winter:(  Was really going to try and capture that bleak feeling on paper but just couldn't hang with the light that long.  So I have started my art journal in this old encyclopedia that I got for free at a second hand book store and I wanted a cool cover for it.  So I had this statement piece of art/junk started and never knew when to say stop and tonight it looked great on my book (to me anyway) .  I received my "Gargoyles" rubber stamp set by Smeared Ink this weekend and have been stamping clay like crazy.  So I used 2 little gargoyles on the top corners and the fabulous window in the center and a little Modge Podge melt on the right front corner.  I am not finished with it but as a placement for what I want on it I am very pleased.  I think some black paint, maybe some texture and some highlights on my clay pieces will all make it more cohesive.  So when finished it will have a "Dead of Winter" look to it as my interpretation of it is...dark and closed window with shine for ice.

My precious grandpuppy, Yoshi! He went through gastrointestinal surgery for an obstruction in August and almost didn't make it. It is now November and he is doing so well just can't eat hard food:( But I love mushing his food twice a day and feeding my beautiful baby boy:)
