My first attempt at making an interesting tag......my first....Okay! So I took my tag and layered it with some distressed looking Christmas paper and some red burlap at the bottom. I took a Cricut cut ornament that I cut too big for my day one post for Creepmas and used about one-fourth of it. The poor bitten gingerbread man is from Deary Dolls Stamps and is one her many, many freebies; actually, he is a part from a cute little mouse eating him stamp. Anyway, I digress, he is embossed with white and green embossing powder and has eyes that started out white embossed then red then ended up red glittering to cover up the bad embossing job! The sentiment is from my little alphabet stamps from Michael's dollar bin and is layered on top of Christmas tree paper and both on foam tape. Everything is inked with black ink pad. And remember....say it with me...It's my first!!! Are you leaving lots of love for the fab gals to the right? You know we are watching you..... And don't forget to find Deborah she is not on the list and I have missed commenting on her during my migraine week so I am headed there to catch up on my comments. I have seen her fab work on the Facebook page!
Walmart had a whole box of dark themed ornaments......a whole box!! I have had the Toxic Ballerina for months waiting for the perfect project for her and here it was..this glorious gold glitter fan with black feathers, bauble, and black tassel. And she bends in the exact right place for the tassel to hang under her graceful pose! She is colored with Bic Markits, fussy cut, and glued on to the ornament. I am really not trying to take the easy way out but there have been so many things that just seem to make themselves this month! But this one is on my tree and I just love her! Go check out Shell's blog and leave them all lots, and lots of love!\
This is a very quick and easy card! I colored the lovely Dilly Beans stamp with Bic Markits and mounted the image on a coordinating card stock. That is mounted on the back card stock with snowflakes and that is mounted on the front of the card. In between the mounted image and card stock is a piece of glittery ribbon. Diamond Accents are on her flowers in her hair and her gorgeous eye! The dream, joy, and love, and frame are clear stamps from Joann's for a $1. Thanks for taking a look!
This steampunk, bad Santa sleigh is first of all bringing skulls, bones, eyeballs, and matches to those of us being naughty. Second, it started out as this marvelous little thick book with wheels!! How fabulous is that for a whole dollar at Target! I unfortunately had to make this from the back to front due to technical difficulties but it has a neat little velcro closure (You know I love those!!)! I covered the wheels with some cogs and covered the book base with gold and black cardstock. The sleigh was a freebie from Graphic Fairy I think and the skull and bone from my scraps making my wreath from Smeared Ink (Thanks, Teri! see I told you I put myself in the corner!), the eyeball is from a pack at Simply Betty's stamps also the pack of matches, and the little bag of cotton candy is handmade from my stash. This was posted accidentally at Haunted House (bad computer, bad!!) but just the front! The bag has googly eyes...googly eyes and velcro closure..I am over the moon!! The sentiment was made in PhotoShop. The bag is made of burlap paper...probably should have distressed it more.... The front page is covered with paper from my stash as well as the second page. The banner is colored with distress ink watered down and the title is written with a embossing pen and black embossing powder on top of that. The clock is embossed with silver. The banner is from Simply Betty's Stamps and the clock and the "believe" paper is from Graphic Fairy. The Believe page is punched with a holly leaf edge punch on loan from my Auntie and the Santa face is covered with an ornament from Smeared Ink. The lovely skelly has golden embossed eyes and a red, crackle finish ribbon! Can you guess I just got my first heat gun and embossing stuff? Yep, took the dive off the deep end...any advice will be appreciated!! Oh well, off with you....I am watching to make sure you leave lots of wonderful comments to my friends to the right!! Hey, you.....start typing!!!
Well, I couldn't resist it! Had to do a "Poe, Ho, Ho" project! Yes even had to recycled Poe image I colored for day 3 and had copied because my printer went bye-bye for several hours! The is Poe with a jolly hat stuck on a stack of building blocks. I stacked the building blocks in a "L" shape and used alcohol inked them up and cut out my vampire font letters with my Cricut. Please go leave some love for all the great participants in this wonderfully creepy hop! The have worked so hard...make them smile..it's Creepmas!
This is the latest one yet! My migraine is making it awful hard to see right now so excuse my mess today! This is a little notebook from the Dollar Tree already glittered and the star cut out. The heart is from a package from Simply Betty's stamps glued on and cut out when dry. The image is Rick's colored with distress markers with some mistake melted beads that are glow in the dark so I figured that made up for their weird shape! The backgound is a piece of Christmas card stock with trees on in and the bottom portion is a piece of burlap paper card stock. The sentiment is cut from my Cricut. That's it!
Scroll down...Creepmas is the next post if you ended up here:) I am so happy to and proud to be a member of the Design Team at Left of Center! I got my badge posted today and it still makes me smile! Thanks to Mo for giving me my first chance! Never, ever thought I would get over my shyness showing my projects but so much encouragement from friends made through Smeared and Smudged have started me on this journey...a little later than the 18 year old wanna be art student planned on with a lot of twists in the road...never made it to art school but married the love of my life and had my lovely babies, so no regrets! All things in time and this seems to be perfect timing in my life:) Will stop writing now before I cry on my keyboard and lock up the computer! Gotta have it right now too badly! Thanks for being here for me! Much love and appreciation.
This one was so simple It shouldn't even count but it DOES....:)! I found this little plaque with a sad little metal mushroom in it feeling unloved and unwanted! I had thoughts of painting it and had the Poe image of Ike's already colored for another project and the colors just seem to fit his holiday "portrait" just like it was so no paint, nothing, nada! Copied the image to size after coloring..finally learned that trick! and the sentiment and candy canes are from Simply Betty's stamps Holiday Elf Trio I think is the name. I had a perfectly new spray of red berries out for house decorations when the cats decided to goth them up for me ( same spray from Wednesday's wreath eaten up too!) so I glued them on the berries. I used a tiny craft card to make my background for my sentiment probably had something on cricut to use but like this so stayed sitting down..lol! I used Distress markers and inked everything with a Distress ink pad and black ink pad. Printed everything on watercolor paper , fussy cut, and glued. Honestly, this little plaque did all the work. The project made itself! Go show some love for my fav artisits to the right! Happy Crafting and Merry Creepmas! Also will be at Left of Center: http://leftofcenterchallenges.blogspot.co.uk/ Sponsored by Ike at www. Ikesart.com/ And Quoth the Raven #39 Anything Goes http://poequoththeraven.blogspot.co.uk/2014/12/quoth-raven-quest-39-anything-poes-week.html
Sorry!! It's late and I am off to chemo with Mom so full details on Facebook later. Terra's fab skelly wreath on a real grapevine wreath with some added messed up red berries and some shiny garland cut and stuck in wreath along with stems cut from berry spray. Add ribbon too easy to count as a project! Terra did all the work:) Hope you all are having a fab Creepmas hop some awesome work going on!
Happy Crafting and Merry Creepmas~Nanette~ (stole that sig thing from Tangled Blue Rose...thanks sweetie!)
I will make this short and sweet...Weebly is having tech issues and it keeps erasing my photos so they are not in order. I got this fabulous box with my new track phone! I could care less about the phone but the box was great even had a little velcro closing! I painted the whole thing with black spray paint and made the front look really traditional Christmas with glitter glue embellishment, fabric bow I made ages ago, my homemade enamel dots, and nice sentiment from a rubber stamp I have had so long it has no details on it about manufacturer. Then when you open it it's like the hand jumping out at you...it's Creepmas! I took this great Smeared Ink image and used distress markers and inks to color. I took some plastic from a package and made the "glass" for the frame (the only thing my lovely box was missing) and fussy cut the image and put a lovely paper from the DCWV The Once Upon a Time stack and taped under the plastic and popped in the box from the bottom. The web and spider are from my Cricut as well as the ornament shape and number 25 and letters "th" that are glued onto it. Sorry for pics nothing is cooperating and I am trying to get this at least typed before Weebly gives out! The back of the front flap again traditional paper a little darker and the edges in Christmas stripes paper (all from the Paper Studio "Ornamental Christmas" stack. The word "wicked" is from my Cricut with a shadow from the same paper behind the image and the little skelly ornament is from Smeared Ink colored with distress inks and glued to cereal box and I left the tag to show in the little indention at the corner as a sort of fake pull tab. I intend to use this box for a gift box...just have to figure out who to give it to that will not have a fit when they open the flap:) Again, apologies for the sloppy looking post but I fear if I don't post this NOW it will not get posted in time. It has already prompted about a possible shut down. The rest of the crew are listed to the right so go see something fab and show them all some love!
Happy Crafting and Merry Creepmas!
