Supplies:

Empty box with lid or I used an empty garbage bag box and made a new lid
Scrapbook paper
Piece of burgandy card stock for hinge
Tell Tell Heart Digital Stamp from Ike's Art

Water color paints
Glue
Alphabet Cut Outs from Paper Pack
craft smart Alphabet stamps
Dimensional Magic

1.  Color the stamp anyway you want.  I choose watercolors and watercolor markers for the heart.  Let dry and glue in box where you want it to be seen when opened.  Dimensional Magic the heart to make it pop.  Glue the areas not covered by the stamp with wood scrapbook paper from the pack.

2.  Tape all the pieces of the box that need reinforcement.  Cover the entire box with a wood grain-like piece of scrapbook paper from pack.  I did not cut the entire box opening open.  I left about 1 inch on each side to give a shadowed, under the floorboards type look.  Here is where the top flap and I had a problem.  I wanted to utilize the flap giving it an even narrower view but couldn't get it to work so off with it's lid and I cut one a little larger than the box bottom from cardboard and covered it with paper from the same pack.  To connect the top to the box I cut about a 6 inch piece of burgandy card stock and scored at about half and folded and glued to the back of the box and the top and let dry completely.

3.  I cut out the letters to spell "THUMP" and staggered them on the top.  Then I stamped in really small letters 'thump....." to suggest the beating heart.

4.  I went rouge and fixed my box where you open display it with the back showing so you open the flap up and there it is.....the tell tell heart!

Happy Crafting and Welcome to 31 Days of Halloween at Smeared and Smudged!!

What a wicked cool box to start of the hop! I love it! I would like to wish you a Happy October but I read about how this month is hard for you so I want to give you a BIG HUG instead! I look forward to seeing all your creations! Love & hugs!

Thank you so much for your compassion. Working on this is helping some but it still is hard. But you didn't have to take that into consideration and I really appreciate it! And also want to send some photos and directions for the DominoART site to hopefully help you out. Once again many thanks.....so many people think 10 years is long enough to grieve and it isn't for me. So many, many thanks!

Fab project, would never have guessed it was a garbage bag box. Great recycling! Love how you made the heart all shiny too.

My precious grandpuppy, Yoshi! He went through gastrointestinal surgery for an obstruction in August and almost didn't make it. It is now November and he is doing so well just can't eat hard food:( But I love mushing his food twice a day and feeding my beautiful baby boy:)
