I begged you not to open the gates.....but you did!! Now it's time to run and run fast!! Don't know what it is but pretty sure he lived under somebody's bed at one time!
Seriously, this started as a macaroni and cheese box (empty) and a pair of fake orange vampire teeth! I took air dry clay and sculpted a sorta face around the teeth and when dry I painted the teeth white. I showed my daughter after putting a black wash over the rest and she said it didn't look like a vampire. All snarky, you know that tone! I had to explain that all things that bite do not glow in the sunshine and look good enough to eat even for an old woman like her mom! With that bit of education behind us, we decided this thing needed to be behind bars and .....two strips of ribbon:). The blood is red acrylic paint with Dimensional Magic and foam letters colored orangish red. The stamps are ravens with red glitter eyes. And the gate was a digital freebie.
Happy Crafting and we are there!! Half way through! But what will I do next month...oh no....I feel a crisis coming on!!
Today I combined a glass painting project on plastic and stamps on the votive holder which is a recycled item (surprise!):) The upside down plastic wine glass had a beautiful green stem which played beautifully into the painting design. For the votive holder I took the top of a spray paint can that was black and stamped on matte photo paper. I used my trusty watercolor markers to give it color and of course this is NOT for a real candle. I am banned from them in my home because I am forgetful so I love the new tealights that run on batteries. This one came from Target, two for one dollar, and were in glittery colors. I put a green one in this project! Sorry for bad photos....keeps happening! So I will show a few more pics and Happy Crafting till tomorrow which will be half way at 12 o'clock midday here!
Welcome to day 11! Poor dear is stitching herself up just in time to go for a fun filled weekend with her honey! I fussy cut everything, painted an empty cereal box, and glued everything on. Of course my trusty Dimensional Magic made a big appearance due to the dressy situation! She is using real thread and has bootiful crystal earrings (only one is showing). She even had her toes and fingers done with a lovely purple for the weekend. Hope Frankie appreciates her hard work and shows her a good time!
Happy Crafting! See you tomorrow! And great work you guys! I am hopping and leaving comments on all 37 of you and I am blown away by your creativity! I am running out of words to describe how wonderful your projects are however! Off to find a thesarus! (spelled wrong, how sad:( ).

Wicked Witch's Potion Book and Magic Wands! Day 7 of 31 Days of Halloween and in Honor of My Husband's Memory
I want to dedicate this day and page to my husband who passed away 10 years ago today. He is greatly missed everyday, every minute, and I want to honor his memory every single day of my life. He was a loving father and husband and "son" to my parents. I thank God for everyday I had him in my life. I love you, Dave.
I started with an old book (beyond repair, I promise!) and bent and glued pages down. After getting close as I could to the way I wanted it to look, I painted the edges black, red, and orange to simulate fire and burned edges. The I stamped on a piece of sketch paper and lined in with a black fine tip marker then fussy cut them. I stamped the pages themselves and then put the fussy cuts on top of the actual stamps. I took a scary black bat and cut around and colored with red eyes and glued to the back of the open book. I stamped a cauldron with "Happy Halloween" on a piece of scrapbook paper from Recollections "Midnight Magic Halloween". Then I glued that to the front end of the book. To make the wands I rolled scrapbook paper from my stash into rolls around straws and glued a stamped image on the end of each wand. To finish, tuck each wand into an opening of the book pages.
Happy Crafting and see you tomorrow! One note: please try to comment on as many blogs as you can! These bloggers are working so hard and all for the good of the group and it really makes a difference when we read a happy comment! Not begging for myself...honest..I am a beginner at this but all these folks are such experts and artists I would love to see you show them the love! Thanks!:)
